It's like Nerdcore, except it doesn't suck balls

Cool video. Decent song. Incredibly nerdy.

But seriously people, nerdcore is fucking terrible. Awful. Just ask this guy:

The stop... stop... stop... stopper

Rediscovering my dancehall love. Little factoid about me. These were the first two tapes, TAPES that I purchased when I was in the sixth grade. I'd be about ten or eleven

My favorite group of all time was C&C Music Factory. I ain't ashamed! Fuck you! Now, yesterday, began the "Whatever Happened To.." game and so I went on a journey. A journey, to make you sweat. Before I continue, may you rest in Peace seƱor Cole. En paz descanso.

Breaking news! little_fats reporting LIVE

Hello Ke$ha. Goodbye Uffie.

Let's take it one thing at a time:
-Hotness - Ke$ha>Uffie (don't argue)
-"rapping" ability - tie
-Musical ability - Ke$ha>Uffie (she can actually sing)
-Guest vocal spots - Ke$ha>Uffie ("Right Round" wins over "TTHHEE PPAARRTTYY" in my book).
-Fashion sense - Ke$ha's hot-possibly-stripper wardrobe>Uffie's American Apparel-ish/general dumpy, early 70's inspired granny wear.
-Current activity - Ke$ha touring with Calvin Harris>Uffie...having "Pop The Glock" remixed by someone else to give it it's 11th life
-Promiscuity - Ke$ha>Uffie: Ke$ha has a song about fucking a DJ. Uffie actually has fucked a DJ. However, that DJ was not me and now she's married and currently expecting a child. Unfortunately, being a married mother-to-be kinda hurts your hotness scale in my book (nah, not into that).
-Random facts - Ke$ha lived in Nashville for a time (personal bias)>Uffie hates Amurrica (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uffie)

See for yourself...

I think that pretty much settles it.

In other news, SOMEONE LEFT THEY EGG!!!!!!!
Spread the word.

Sad Trumpet

So, we are no longer at Foobar. Anyway, thanks to them for letting us spin jams there and getting shitty drunk. The latter a huge thanks! In fact this bar is really close to my house, so I'll still be doing that there, just probably not DJ ing. Well, enough of that on to the real biz. Mixes, mixes, mixes. Coming mad soon AND while I'm at it. I guess I should mention this: I... am a member of this band. I thought you should know. Sorry if I was being deceitful. You may want to get tested.

Pon De..what the fuck!

Truth be told, I like Major Lazer, but I really don't like this song. But this video! If you've been following, you know about the "Parisian Goldfish" video. Well, the following video was made by the same person( Eric Wareheim). So without further ado, suck on this America.

Baile Funk do Mexico?!?

It happened and it's awesome. I have been trying to follow baile funk for a time now. The real shame is, I've been to Brazil, studied ethnomusicology, learned portuguese, but never, NEVER, encountered baile funk until this year?!? Not cool, me! Not cool. Thankfully, several people out there have more due diligence than I did

Before I go any futher, I first want to thank, Pimpdaddysupreme for actually introducing me to this brand of jams. Secondly, huge props to Diplo and the Mad Decent crew.
Diplo has just recently put out a documentary on Baile Funk called "Favela on Blast." Have I seen it? Of course not, I'm a loser. That's neither here nor there. That being said, in m my quest for Baile Funk, I was first sought out via myspace by this group (Lights Camera Action). They're great, but then... Bonde do Zombinhos caught my eye. Baile Funk...From Mexico!! Hot!

So check them out. I mean it!

If you were out searching the countryside for purple buffalo, you'd probably have thought out your day in advance, knowing the peril that comes with hunting purple buffalo and also with the landscape and those who inhabit it. You'd probably want to have all of the right tools for the job. You can't well carry your Roland synthesizers on horseback and expect to capture and kill with great speed and stamina. You could, however, make a bunch of really tough mixtapes full of songs like this one; songs that could turn a man's blood into fire.

Lifelike - Sequencer 15.9mb

Tonight. Foobar, Nashville, TN 37206

THUMP THUMP THUMP.

I'm reporting from the Agency right now, in the lab Fat's is perfecting his beats. Unfortunately, Action Replay is making love on the beaches of Miami AND the Keys, so if there is any sort of law enforcement in these areas I highly advise you to arrest this man, but send him back to us. We miss him. Furthermore, Pimpdaddysupreme will be joining us this evening, he's a gem! Upon my return I will post my thoughts of the night. Perhaps we will make gold, gold I tells ya!

Until then, here's this awesome Flying Lotus video

Sweet!

we've more than doubled our readership! keep the hits coming.

We had a recording of our first show, but it was just too good to put on this silly blog. Truly you are not ready. However, pics from that show will be coming in the next few days. I want to take this moment to welcome our latest contributor, Pimpdaddysupreme. He is a good friend and mentor of mine, hopefully he'll won't try to touch your bathing suit area, but I make no promises.

SO if you live in Nashville and know how to bust a mean Juke move (or perhaps a Jit) please come to our weekly show at Foobar. Stanky Legs need not apply

ONE DROP TWO DROP THREE DROP FOUR

Dance music is just this endless thing... No matter where i look there's something new and exciting.

Evidence: i just busted in on some 'Kuduro,' this busy bouncy stuff coming out of Portugal by way of Angola. It's indigenous rhythms mixed with modern floor trends, its got that crowd feel you get from the Brazilian stuff but a little more chaotic, unpredictable. here's a track:

I guess if they got M.I.A. on it is gonna be all over the place now so hey! cool.
